An age of mendacity and criminality! Bang. That’s how we live now : lies and violence. All we have to say, my generation not the so called greatest generation - we dared, we tried. Now look at America turning its back on my people, its own people. And kiss me with the black faces in high places. We see what that’s all about: the few not the many. Neofascists here and there is no outcry except for children and old head radicals. The nation will get the government it deserves, every nation does!

I just love that Langston Hughes published his poem ‘Harlem’ in 1951, which said, “What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up Like a raisin in the sun?” And Lorraine Hansberry published her ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ in 1959. And of course James Baldwin, who always had the perfect thing to say. Three beautiful masterminds and poets here

She is 65 on that clip. It is sad to see her so formalistic. When you read her book, you understand that when she was young she likes so much to enjoy life, she fight against old revolutionary guys who want to have a “sad” revolution. May be she was trying to control all her message, knowing that interview could be dangerous for her freedom.

Ms. Morrison talked as a matter of fact on topics: racism, sexism, classism, etc. that would make the majority of Americans feel uncomfortable… I can understand and feel an uncomfortablity between Ms. Morrison and the reporter on topics however she expresses her rationality smoothly and with a smile… very cat and mouse-- 😂… especially while discussing the Noble Peace Prize…❤❤❤ Ms. Morrison a great influencer interview…

Mother love me keep me warm Mother loves me, keeps me warm, nurtures me, cares for me, and calms me through the storm. To help me mother, help your baby to be strong, nothing more. No Money, is A Mercy, can The Bluest Eye find a Rainbow a Home? For Frank and his Sister here's a poem. I love you, Mother, I thank you everyday, love me, keep me warm, nurture me, care for me, show me what is right and wrong. Your love has kept me, in the light, words that make a man cave bright. And when I go to her at night, she rocks me in my cradle, so I sleep tight. I love you Mother. I Thank you everyday. Mother loves me, keeps me warm, nurtures me, cares for me, and calms me through the storm. To help me Mother, help your baby, to be strong, nothing more. Thank you Toni, for I've been torn, and my mother left me in the storm. By Eddie Campagnola Edward Campagnola, "Directions to the Dumpster" & Pen name "One Directions to Mercy Street"

What he is not understanding is that- My reality is my facts! We are human beings. The entire society was created by a white ideal. Therefore- it is difficult to be black and to operate within it. The fact that James came to self-realization and began trying to liberate our minds at this time is as he has stated "an act of revolution". He basically wants James to disarm all black people from being upset with white people and not be held accountable. Do they see how this is childish? To say, okay yes I did this but isn't it better now because you are a writer and there are other prominent blacks. So you should encourage all black people to become prominent as you have so we can prove this system works. AS HE ALSO SAYS AN ARTIST CANNOT BE SUCCESSFUL. He is writing because he has to. He was chosen to/ given the ability and specific circumstance to. They have never took responsibility and they want us to release them of the burden to. They want us to embrace them like nothing happened. That's why James keeps saying why me? What do you want me to do?! The only thing he can do is liberate those who can hear him which he has done!

Some exceptional bits of wisdom and perspective: 9:39 There is a reason for everything you do and you must find that reason. 12:31 No matter how I may sound, I am really only mortal - and I love you very much. 15:47 Find out all you can, but don’t find it out with the intention of proving a point. 15:55 There is no reason for you to prove yourself to anybody, except yourself. 19:55 You’ve got nothing to prove and whoever doesn’t know who you are is to be pitied. 23:00 Everything that you will do and say reveals you. What I call you doesn’t say anything about you. But what I call you says everything about me. 26:17 You can lose your temper for a second, and lose 30 years of your life. 28:01 People are not by nature nonviolent.

Just like people take classes in how to Elizabethan and Jacobean text. So too, American writers like Faulkner and August Wilson, and other writers evincing the American folk. It may be that their texts carry with them a specific sound and rhythm that the advent of mass media in the form of the news broadcast and radio has kinda given regionalism a kind of white washing that unwittingly sacrifices the beauty of dialect. I only mention this because many of if not all the people that hold the music of such writers are all dead or nearly so. America is too big and varied to have everybody sounding like they are from Ohio or Illinois.
